PAUL'S BIO

Paul's musical voyage began in his Jr. High School band and continued through-out his school years.   At fifteen he landed his first gig with the legendary "Jimmy Tawater & The Marvells".   With private studies and under the wing of Jimmy, Paul began his successful career.

Paul forged his talent under the tutelage of jazz giant Bennie Wallace, as well as Jack Lindsey and Ed Leamon. His smooth, tasty style, has been influenced by Stanley Turrentine, Grover Washington Jr., Stan Getz and Joe Henderson.

Paul's years of experience has merited him gigs with Rufus Thomas, Mary Wells, Eddie Floyd, Cecil Womack and Jim Beckwith among others.

Over his career,  he has opened for  Percy Sledge, Mitch Ryder,  Major Lance, Spencer Davis, Sonia Dada, Georgia Satellites, Molly Hatchet, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, David "Fat Head" Newman, Frankie Valie,  Snooky Pryor, Ray Charles, The Jimmy Church Review, Shirley Murdock with Zapp, Kenny Neal, Chubby Carrier, Jesse James,
The Spinners, Nancy Wilson, Meli'sa Morgan, Freddie Jackson, Freddy Cole, Bobby Rush and Jennifer Holliday.
